Is MRS free?
MRS is free to download, and you can scan, recognize text and sign for free. Some features, such as sharing and opening saved documents without limits, need MRS Premium, a weekly or yearly subscription. The yearly plan can start with a 3-day free trial. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
What does text recognition (OCR) do?
MRS reads the text on every page you scan and adds it to the PDF as an invisible layer. The page looks the same, but you can select and copy its text in any PDF app, and MRS finds the document when you search for a word inside it.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Your scans and PDFs are stored on your iPhone, and text recognition runs on your iPhone. A document leaves your phone only when you share it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Is a signature from MRS legally valid?
MRS places your handwritten signature on the PDF as an image. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. Many everyday documents accept a handwritten signature like this; for contracts with special rules, ask the person who needs the document.
What does "Scan receipt" do?
It scans the receipt to a PDF and reads the shop, date, total, tax and the list of items into a text file. You find the text files in the Files app, under On My iPhone › MRS › Receipts.
Which files can I import and export?
You can import PDF files and photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC). MRS saves every document as a standard PDF that opens on any phone or computer.
Which devices does MRS work on?
MRS is made for iPhone and needs iOS 16 or later. The app is available in 33 languages.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose MRS and tap Cancel Subscription. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
